The people I directly worked with were sometimes difficult to deal with. Other colleagues were excellent and helpful.
Some people were not expected to do their jobs to the same degree as others.
Freedom to work independently
I had quite a bit of autonomy, as long as the work was done well and promptly.
Some communication was lacking.
I was hourly, and didn't work much after hours.
Dealing with people was often more challenging than the tasks.
Suggestions for improvement
- I think the culture could be improved by holding employees to a certain behavioral standard, rather than stroking egos. The physical location is nice, but the campus has a hard time being physically accessible for some because of its geography.
What I like about the company
I met some great people that were very helpful to me, especially when I was starting. I had a very flexible work schedule that allowed me to get in early and leave early. The benefits were also excellent.
What I dislike about the company
I think that faculty could use more professional development on how to work well with others. I also think that they should revisit their pay scale and how they function. The HR department could also benefit from a review of how the handle processes.
The following benefits were offered to me
