Unfortunately the executive team in upper management has a reputation for saying one thing and doing another. False information is a common practice.
Support from management
If the idea does not come from the executive management it probably will not be supported.
Not a lot of cooperation within departments.
Freedom to work independently
This is not exercised throughout the division. Fear of repercussion.
Information is passed two employees hours routinely. The issue is "is it believable".
Only if you join the good old boys club.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Very little support especially from the HR department
Quite often employees are required to attend training sessions which provide little or no true meaning to their job responsibilities.
Overall compensation for your work
Compensation is issued unfairly. Executive team in upper management fail to understand what each and every employee do to add value to the organization
Office / Work Environment
Good to fair working conditions
Everyone recognizes the name Kawasaki. Their first thought is it's an exceptional place to work only because of the name. Unfortunately they may be disappointed.
The company is going in a different direction which is not been conveyed openly to the employees. No job is secure at this time.
There is no training
Much work is done with little direction. You must be a self-starter and produce results. Unfortunately favoritism is shown in this area. Many do more than Their share well others do very little.
Inclusive / Diverse
Much work is repetitious.
Suggestions for improvement
- Upper management and executive are put in positions which they do not qualify for. Japan has much say as to who holds these positions. They move people around so they become a more experienced even though they are not qualified to run the business. American management or put in positions as a favor
What I like about the company
many of the coworkers are wonderful to work with.
What I dislike about the company
unfortunately some of upper management or not even welcome to participate in the overall business functions. Compensation and promotions are handled within a favoritism manner.
