Bad Training

What I like

Its a work at home position so no commuting is nice.

What I dislike

The fast track training and getting dumped on the phones without a clue how to help with issues other than trying to find articles that spew a bunch of what if scenerios. Complex resources.

Suggestions for improvement

Longer training. More explanations on high call drivers.

What I like

Independent work from home situation. Reliable compensation. All types of support when needed

What I dislike

Very strict which they tell you that up front because of the remote environment. Fast paced work with little down time during the day. Production metrics that MUST be met or you will have documented coaching.

Suggestions for improvement

More flexibility with my schedule. More time in between calls. More time to complete the training modules.

Company Culture

While on the surface everything is positive there is tremendous pressure for compliance. My previous Team leads have been constructive with their coaching but my current leader is degrading.

Company Image

It is cool to be able to say I am working with Apple

Work-Life Balance

Very strict attendance policies

Career Development

There are good development programs and you can move up quickly

Overall compensation for your work

Huge savings being able to truly work from home

Inclusive / Diverse

Just say yes and agree with your team leads and you’ll be ok.

Workplace Safety

Again you work at home so this is up to you

Teamwork

Great team environment. You can converse with your co workers (if you can find the time)

Attitude towards older colleagues

As long as you can keep up and hit your numbers there is no problems whoever

Support from management

Pod chats are there if you need them but you are pretty much on your own

Office / Work Environment

You work at home so you can set it up however you want

Challenging Work

You are on the clock and command center is on you if you are outside of those metrics.

Job Security

They can pull the plug on you in an instant. Constantly being coached with the results could end up in termination

Internal Communication

Lots of emails

Gender Equality

Very diverse work environment

Freedom to work independently

Work at home environment demands a lot of trust in its employees

What I like

Got to work at home and got paid every Friday.

What I dislike

need to offer benefits.

Suggestions for improvement

Concentrate more on taking care of the customer and not the merits.

Company Image

I don't know anyone who likes Kelly Services.

Work-Life Balance

It is a call center. If you needed time off for a life event you had to request it at least a month before the event. Then it was like pulling teeth to get it off, anyway.

Career Development

It's a temporary agency which happens to be Apple's number one Vender. But we weren't allowed to tell our customers that. There is no option for a long-term career.

Handicapped Accessibility

We worked at home. The computer they supplied would be easy for someone who is handicapped to use.

Overall compensation for your work

I was there for two years before they finally gave us one week PTO per year. But it was like pulling teeth to get the time I needed/wanted off.

Environmental Friendliness

We worked at home

Workplace Safety

We worked at home.

Office / Work Environment

We worked at home.

Challenging Work

Very. Nearly every call was from an Apple customer who wasn't happy with Apple or their products.

Job Security

I worked there for almost 5 years before they told me they didn't need me anymore.

Internal Communication

The first year, the department manager we had made at least one video a day informing us of what was coming up. Unfortunately, we were so busy that we weren't able to watch them and we weren't allowed to log in and watch them when we were off—not that I would have done that anyway.

Freedom to work independently

They were always watching, except when you really needed assistance with a call.

What I like

Working at home and getting paid every Friday.

What I dislike

No benefits. Didn't allow enough time on the phone with the customers. AAHT (Average Adjusted Handle Time) was more important than taking care of the customer. They wanted us to set up callbacks if we didn't get the issue resolved in 20 minutes, but then they complained that we were "an inbound call center, why are you on so many outbound calls?" when we called everyone back.

Suggestions for improvement

Offer benefits. Listen to employee suggestions and don't make changes that are going to effect the customers in a negative way.

Company Culture

You get to work at home and they supply the equipment.

Company Image

I don't know anyone who is happy with Kelly Services. It's a temporary agency, so there are no benefits. I worked there for two years before they finally let us have 5 days Paid Time Off per year. But it was like pulling teeth to get the week you requested off.

Work-Life Balance

It took a lot of work for the TL and Supervisor to get you set schedule, but if you needed a day off for something special, it was like pulling teeth to get it. Sometimes I just had to take an occurrence to get the day off.

Career Development

No future in a temporary agency.

Handicapped Accessibility

Again, it's up to you since you're at home.

Overall compensation for your work

After we were there a year, they finally gave us a dollar more an hour. A couple of years later, they upped our pay to $15.00 per hour for Senior Advisors.

Inclusive / Diverse

We were kept abreast of what was going on, but we didn't have any say in what was going on

Environmental Friendliness

Again, it's up to you since you're at home.

Workplace Safety

Again, it's up to you since you're at home.

Teamwork

If you need assistance, the TLs in chat would pull you into private chat to help you.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I didn't see any problems and there were several older colleagues.

Support from management

The TLs and Supervisors do care about the employees. Upper management didn't seem to know the job and were always coming up with "rules" that were geared to upset the customers and there was nothing we could do for the customers.

Office / Work Environment

You get to work at home. It's up to you where you put the computer they supplied, but it did need to be in a quite environment.

Challenging Work

Sometimes they released a product before we were scheduled to train for it. Which was really more "throwing us under the bus" than actual challenging.

Job Security

I was there for almost five years and the job ended.

Internal Communication

You get daily emails and you communicate via chat with the TLs and Supervisors

Gender Equality

It didn't matter what gender anyone is.

Freedom to work independently

Even if you thought you were alone, someone was watching and monitoring everything you did. But the TLs were always there if you needed assistance, except on Saturdays. It was murder to get help on Saturdays (I never worked Sunday, but I think someone said it was also a problem on Sundays.)
