Immediate supervisors and office manager cultivate their staff aside from that the employer does not.
Support from management
The employer had no management training before taking charge of a long standing company with 40 employees. Although some would embrace this challenge, the employer took the position the former boss with decades of experience with criticism due to lack of confidence. The majority of the staff had been in their positions for at least 10 to 15 years with a stellar reputations. Due to her lack of confidence and healthy authority she bullied her staff due to her inability to interact with the staff.
Team work amongst the inner staff is high. Teamwork for the employer is very low.
Freedom to work independently
Please see answer to teamwork.
Communication from the employer to staff is very low. She tells the staff she will only tell them what she thinks they need to know. Of course there are always going to be items that management knows on a higher level but she said these things in a derogatory manner.
Office / Work Environment
This is very good. All first rate equipment. First aid kit accessible to all staff.
Due to the stress and constant criticism the staff is always under there is no way to separate the two worlds.
Under current employer you never feel accomplished because of the constant criticism.
Inclusive / Diverse
Diversity is encouraged. This is one area the employer excels. She encourages all people ofrom different backgrounds. Diversity as far as employee input is unfortunately not encouraged due to her lack of self confidence.
Suggestions for improvement
- If the employer would take a step back, trust and listen to the wise support staff and management she has, she would realize she has been given aname office off talented and devoted people.
What I like about the company
I liked the rapport with coworkers and office manager. The benefits are steller.
What I dislike about the company
The new employer really was the fly on the ointment. To sum up my review she came in to a very well respected office as a person new in management with low self esteem and made quick changes that caused a snowball of additional problems. Instead of listening and taking time to make the office her own, she was critical and refused to accept the errors in her judgment.
