I have been treated well, and my suggestions are actually heard. This company works hard to keep employees happy.
What I like
Management is very supportive of finding life/work balance. Co-workers genuinely care about one another and teamwork is emphasized strongly. When there is a problem, it is generally addressed quickly. Employees are treated well, and their opinions and suggestions are heard and often taken into consideration when implementing new policies. The employee discount program helps employees to save money locally and when traveling.
What I dislike
Vacation hours are not separate from sick time. I do not feel that sick pay should be taken out of earned vacation time. With appropriate documentation of an illness, pay should be from a separate bank of time so that employees are not penalized for being ill.
Suggestions for improvement
Sick pay should be separate from PTO bank. The policy on hair color and tattoos should not be so strict. As long as visible tattoos are not of an offensive design, there is no reason they should require them to be covered up. Or, perhaps leave that decision up to individual managers of each department. Also, as a faith-based organization, there should be holiday pay for Easter since this is a Christian holiday that many employees are required to work.
Ths company places a high focus on employee satisfaction and the majority of employees are happy in their jobs
The company regularly shares information with employees about the network.
Paid Time Off is accrued at a rate dependent on job title and years employed with the company, but there is no designated "sick days". Also, you can only call off 5 times in any rolling 12-month period before receiving a verbal warning.
I am pushed to improve daily, and receive constructive feedback from management
