Suggestions for improvement
- Implement trainings/opportunities to help employees who struggle with the English language learn it before placing them in a home. Give bonuses/raises... appreciate your employees.
What I like about the company
I have built relationships with the people I support. I also have a wonderful team, we all have each other’s backs.
What I dislike about the company
They don’t pay well. They don’t give raises or bonuses. Their hiring process is not thorough and takes a long time. When placing new employees in homes to staff, they don’t consider their comfort level in personal care which causes that employee to not work to their full potential. They also hire employees who cannot speak any English and then place them in a home with individuals with intellectual disabilities. These staff need to administer medications, write daily documentation and most importantly communicate with the individuals in their care. If they don’t speak English well or at all, how are they supposed to successfully support these individuals?
