Signing up for benefits the HR lady stated "I'm surprised you're signing up we hardly have anyone last a year" verbatim what she said
Support from management
There is no leadership support, you run your own business if you don't get it you get fired
The only time there's team work is when you have to split a commission with that being said everyone is willing to lend a hand... for a cost.
Freedom to work independently
There are are favorites those who get "the cheese" and those who don't, it all depends on how much you're willing to brown nose.
Everyone is out to CYA so if you're told to do something and another manager gets upset at you for it, they will deny everything so they don't get in to trouble.
There are over 200 car salesmen in abilene and each place has a max of 2 finance managers and 2 sales manager that have been doing their job for years... the likelyhood of advancement is nothe high...
Overall compensation for your work
If you last a year your benefits are decent. BUT good luck making it a year
Office / Work Environment
10+ hour days if you take your scheduled day off I promise you, you will hear about it whether you're tracking or not. I went 3 months with only having Sundays off
You get called a vulture alot.
There is no such thing when you get off you're mentally exhausted from making 100 phone calls over a very limited database so you constantly get cussed out or get yelled at how you call to much. But if you don't your manager will cuss you out. So there is no social life.
One of the recent complaints "the salesman tried to sleep with my wife." There is a higher up that refers to certain customer as roaches.
You can be fired for literally anything. You didn't bring a notebook to morning meeting instead you bring 1 sheet of paper. Gone!
The favorites get a little better access to the database to help with "the cheese" beyond that there are no tools you're allowed to use
You don't do anything dangerous, although they refuse to hire cleaning services so needless to say trash piled up
It was considerably one of the hardest jobs I had but when I left I felt after a year of working with them like I've accomplished NOTHING
Inclusive / Diverse
No you do it their way or prepare to walk.
