Support from management
Management really doesn't care much about the teachers. I would take them forever just to come releave you so you could go to the restroom. If you weren't part of the management team to say the less they wouldn't work with you. Just in my experience they tried to help one of the management leaders with her school schedule because she was doing a bus and was always late to class. When i started my new semester they wanted me to change my schedule because it wouldn't benefit them or help then out in the long run. That was probably the most shocking thing I had ever seen coming from a higher education learning center.
Teachers never liked to help other teachers. Amd management did really like to hwlp the teachers either. Alot of the classrooms were constantly out of ratios and no one would help get back into proper teacher to student ratio.
Freedom to work independently
The pretty much let you run things on your own. You set up your own ways on teaching the kids aa long as they followed certain guidelines they want you to go buy.
Communication was terrible. Messages were never delayed to teachers in a reasonable time. And management didn't like to communicate certain aspect of the day to others to let them know what was going on.
It was pretty much only females that worked there with no desire to even want a male teacher in the building.
Attitude towards older colleagues
The only time respect was giving was to those that were actually older than tnose in management. If you were young they tended to talk to you any type of way without any regards.
Overall compensation for your work
For everything they wanted is to do, they pay was really terrible.
Office / Work Environment
Building was always clean and tidy.
The hours are fairly short which gives you time to balance out home life.
Suggestions for improvement
- Management definitely needs to work better and improve relationship with employees. Alot of the employees feel under appreciated and would rather quit than stay there and work.
