My immediate co-workers were amazing. Unfortunately, upper management was completely unaware of the concept of teamwork. If I could give zero stars, that would be the median between the two sides of employment.
At least twice on a monthly basis, people would show up to our banquet facilities inquiring as to why their events weren't set up. Management in other areas of the club (NOT food and beverage) would frequently promise events to people in exchange for perks and then "forget" about them. Constant stream of empty apologies from them and constant behind the scenes scrambling to save face on our end.
See above note on diversity.
Attitude towards older colleagues
There are no "older colleagues."

Office / Work Environment
Again, can I give negative stars? The toilets back up weekly, resulting in nightmares during events (I think you can guess what happens.) The floor behind the main bar is completely rotted out and sinking into the basement (I have personally felt the floor move), the facilities are NOT up to fire code, haven't been for years and years (too expensive), some type of animals live (and die--you can smell it) in the walls of all the facilities, there are gaping holes in the walls, no air conditioning in the summer, no heat in winter, every time it rains we had to put out empty pitchers all over the dining room to catch the leaks, wood rot and termites (in the restaurant-management wouldn't close even when termites were flying around the restaurant in clouds of hundreds), the wallpaper has peeled due to humidity and poor insulation-upper management stapled it back to the wall a year ago, bathrooms on par with a dirty truck stop (hold your breath!), carpets fraying and covered in stains (they were tan, are now brown and smell like literal garbage), the insulation is asbestos-part of the facility was gutted by men in hazmat suits covering everything in caution tape, the cart barn gets broken into and robbed every summer-countless carts found in the course ponds. I could go on, but we'd be here all night.
I frequently worked unpaid overtime, both on and off site. If there were things that couldn't get done at work (the computer that had ALL of our files had a virus and $300 was too expensive to fix it) I was expected to do them from home, on my days off, with no pay. Vacation days and sick days are unheard of. If you don't show up to work, you had better be dead.
Apart from 2 people in upper management, I have actually never heard another employee say a single good thing about working there. Not one.
It really just depends on the mood of the people upstairs. Most of the time, they had no clue what was going on with their business (came to work MAYBE once a week), but on the random occasions they decided to feign interest, everyone would run for the hills.
There is one handicap ramp that is actually too narrow for code, the doors are all narrower than code allows (if you're in a wheelchair you are not going to find a handicap-accessible bathroom), and the handicap chair at the pool was actually only added after upper management was threatened with enormous fines. The bar, accounting office and general manager's office are all inaccessible.
In short, no. See above notes. The facility is not up to fire code or handicap-accessible, the floors and walls are rotted, there are termites, the roof leaks, there's a 4x3 foot hole in front of the banquet facility kitchen entrance that upper management left-they put up caution tape and actually said that that was all they would do, insulation is asbestos, no heat or ac, pool chemicals aren't tested and are thus never in safe parameters, etc etc
I give this 5 stars, but not in a good way. You never, ever knew what to expect when you came to work, and had to be prepared for a disaster at least twice a week. Working here was definitely very challenging, in the absolute worst sense of the word.
Inclusive / Diverse
We are an equal opportunity employer, as long as you're white. If you aren't, be prepared to be accused of theft on a frequent basis.
Additionally, it is preferable that you're male. If you're not, be prepared for comments from upstairs on every physical aspect of your being.
