Suggestions for improvement
- There would be more time spent on developing leadership roles, more time on personal and professional development. Team building, personal skill building, and much more time training on technology so this could be utilized by all to its fullest capacity. Workplace interaction training specifically on interactions with youth and parents to build positive relationships with these critical partners.
What I like about the company
The sense of camaraderie is strong among employees. If you are a self starter wanting to do new programs, there are opportunities for you to introduce them. There is a great opportunity to have a positive influence on youth and on families.
What I dislike about the company
We do not do a good job at promoting professional. There is no plan for career development or advancement . While education is encouraged, there is no plan or coaching for folks who may want to advance through the system or the field. We tend to hold people in the slot they are in. We could do a better job at personal and professional development of the individuals themselves, not just training for the current position. We are not very good at thinking outside the box in our model of teaching.
