Feedback is typically negative, upper management seeks to find efficiency issues that are not caused by the branch
Support from management
Company has little to no effective direction from the top down.
insufficient support from corporate to the branches, Some ineffective authoritarian upper level managers. Inability for corporate to make quick and decisive decisions
Freedom to work independently
Branches had to have a level of autonomy to effectively operate.
Company will communicate, scripted conference calls were ineffective in resolving real issues, continued practice.
Never an issue I observed.
Good support and training available for Hourly employees, less for lower management, not much room for advancement, until there is effective company wide growth.
Overall compensation for your work
Health benefits were very good, compensation needed to match additional responsibilities added on and required, my reason for leaving.
Office / Work Environment
Computer system outdated, supplies can be difficult to obtain, at the time were was no allowance for discretionary funds for supplies
Company owner has very noble intentions for company overall. Noble intensions are overpowered by inability and inaction.
Work can require significant amount of unpaid overtime for salaried employees.
Company appears hopeless in some respects. While there are significant trials that are failing, there is still hope.
It's never comfortable when a 200 plus employee company has to live month to month.
Company would make any reasonable accommodation if requested.
Company makes every effort with the resources available
Never has so much been owed by so many to so few.
Inclusive / Diverse
Most management does not like the boat to be rocked
Suggestions for improvement
- Company needs a strong and effective leader with knowledge and skill of the industry and the drive to lead it. Upper level management have not spent sufficient time in the industry outside the company, old ideas that are no longer effective. Case study in how oligarchies can fail.
- Hire me back as company president, salary negotiable.
What I like about the company
Great Health Benefits, Company owner has very noble intentions.
What I dislike about the company
No effective upper level management, owner is overloaded, company desperately needs direction to save it, as of the time I left, I saw no one there with the will, or skill to take it in the direction it needs to go.
