With a changing pay plan every year for the sales force, it is difficult to feel trust in the senior management of the organization.
Support from management
Supervisors made more internal work for sellers than was manageable while hitting goals. In addition, senior management really didn't feel the people they have in place are capable to do their job.
Freedom to work independently
Sales is sales. Budgets are set and goals are to be met. I had zero input on my budgets.
With a sales force of 30 (at the time), 3 women and 0 minorities.
Attitude towards older colleagues
This seems fine, though if you are over 50 and leaving you have to sign a "will not sue" document. So maybe they don't fell like they treat the "older" employees fairly?
If there was a supervisory role to open up, the time I was there, they would hire from outside the organization. Though that didn't seem to be the way in other departments.
Overall compensation for your work
The company had some decent benefits. The sales department made it difficult to make money. I was there for three years - each year the commission structure was revised. Never in the favor of the seller. There were some years that the compensation plan wasn't laid out until the 2Q of the fiscal year.
Office / Work Environment
Work in the arena was fine - large sales pit area in the lower level. Parking was less then desirable.
Utah isn't very aware on the "green" front. There is going to be a refurbishing of the arena. Initial plans are to renovate in green practices. Organization does some great charity/giving back work.
What I like about the company
A diverse group of properties to sell.
What I dislike about the company
Lack of growth opportunities. Lack of a consistent compensation plan.
