Long hours, subjective review and compensation processes and no recognition. Middle management is given carte blanche to do what they will with those reporting to them and HR/Upper Management will support middle management to the exclusion of all else. This is not a good place to work.

Middle management has subjective control over feedback, reviews, compensation and job descriptions. Upper management doesn't get involved. Very long hours are demanded/required just to stay current and positive effects or feedback for that is slim and very much targeted to favorites.
