Office standards are beautiful but basic for ergonomics - not considerate of employees needs. May employees travel and work at client or other facilities so do not need to rely only on offices. Looks are important to the company prestige more than health/comfort.
Suggestions for improvement
- Visit the expectations and performance of executives, explore what a more employee-considerate environment would do for success (I speculate a great deal), invest in employees so that clients can feel the value.
