Company is more concerned with production/ making money over safety. Company also pushes High performance system but refuses to roll it out properly.
Support from management
Management lacks experience which it shows. Mangement is more concerned making their numbers look impressive. Could careless about the employees and safety for them.
Employees work ok together on the floor. But lack of accountability breeds it's not my job environment.
Freedom to work independently
Thats part of high performance. You should be able to run a room by yourself. With a turn over rate of 25% or higher breeds that enviroment of one person working mulitple jobs.
There is alot of miscommunication or zero communication between management and employees. It's a fly by the seat of your pants and roll with it environment.
Good mix of women and men.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Younger generation tends to mock older generation. Lack of respect. Compnay has tried to fix this issue. But kore of a generational issue then company.
Unless you have a degree forget moving up in this company. Its required to have a bachelor's degree to make management. Tech levels for employees are unrealistic and difficult to achieve.
Overall compensation for your work
For what they ask you to do and more I think an extra 2 bucks per level would compensate. But that will never happen. Also making tech level teirs to move up will allow employees to feel they are accomplishing something at work.
Office / Work Environment
Lots of upset, disgruntled employees. Promotional movement is hindered and expectations to achieve promotion way to high.
Company is working on 0 to waste. But uses lots of plastics.
Kroger could care less if you have work life balance. Work every holiday, sometimes 6-7 days a week.
With employees it is ok. Most employees refuse to drink some of the products knowing how they are handled or what's added to them.
Hard to get fired unless you call in alot. But processors are easily let go for making mistakes. It does cost company money but improper training and lack of accountability has lead to this enviroment.
Not handicapped friendly.
People are afraid to run machines because the lack of pms or maintenance. Very slow to fix concerns of employees. Dumping powders employees have asked for mask and still have yet to receive a mask worthy.
Depends in the area you work in. Some areas are harder then others. And accountability is higher in some areas then others.

Good diversity in the plant.
Suggestions for improvement
- Management with more experience in manufacturing and mangement skills. Also with empathy and knowledge of the work floor. Rarely see a mangement person on the floor learning a machine or understanding why it is malfunctioning.
What I like about the company
The people are fun to work with minus management.

Company that worries only about money/production over employees. Lack of accountability.
