Suggestions for improvement

  • Encourage more collaboration between general workers and supervisors/upper management. Big choices are often made without consulting the people that it will directly affect and the decisions made are not always what works best, or all angles haven't been considered and there are lots of questions left unanswered when a change is implemented.

What I like about the company

Management has always had my back and been supportive.
It's easy and encouraged to change positions and move up within the bank.
Most supervisors are very flexible and understanding when life demands time away from work.

What I dislike about the company

The bank is still learning how to act like a large bank rather than the family owned bank they started as.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I would like to see more generous Christmas bonuses for everyone, not just officers. I'd like to see a more fair distribution of wages.

What I like about the company

I have received significant pay raises since starting at the company that coincide with good performance. I feel valued and even though I am still pretty low on the totem pole, the "higher ups"" know me by name and ask for my opinion."

What I dislike about the company

Although this is a common problem in any business, it seems as though the pay difference between those up top and everyone else are significant. It is frustrating to see some people have enough money to go out to eat and travel constantly, while others struggle to pay bills and make ends meet. It seems that all that really matters in the business world is who you know, not what you know. It's difficult to move up in a company if you don't have connections, and extremely difficult to make those connections if you are unfortunate enough to be born into the wrong kind of family.
