We appreciate your feedback! We agree, it would be ideal to respond to every single applicant and we are in the process of implementing an automated system that would allow for that. Unfortunately, with a number of open positions, posted on a number of job boards, we just don’t have the man power to respond to as many candidates as quickly as we hope to. Rather, for the time being we've directed our attention to the ones that meet all of the hiring managers' requirements. We understand the frustrations associated with job hunting and while we aim to reduce those stressors with our mission as a company, we have missed that mark as an employer in this case. Suggestions for improvement, work hard, learn more, pay attention in job.
Kununu first made contact with me through angelist. I replied to show my interest and in turn, they replied with some suggested times to interview. I replied to say that the suggested times would not work due to my own schedule which I had to keep and I suggested if it was ok an alternate time. This is where the communication ended. After a week went by I assumed they went with another person. Certainly understandable. My issue is though that this company talks about being transparent which I love. After working for a giant corporation and there was never and transparency, I was excited for a chance to work for kununu. In fact, I still am. So on a Monday I sent a follow-up email because I noticed that there was a new position similar to the original one. After 5 days there was still no reply. Maybe the said person was on vacation but there was no out of office message. So I am not sure because from all I have read, kununu seems like a great place to work and I know I would fit in well. I do hope that the communication with future applicants will be worked on. I do not hope to sound like I am one who is holding a grudge because I am not. I only wish to have had better communication, even if I had not been offered a position.
The application process was engaging and informative. I was contacted within 3 days of applying and had a good understanding of the position based on the job description.
