My colleagues made the job bearable.
Freedom to work independently
Micromanagement is the rule here.
Attitude towards older colleagues
If you are over 50, it's likely you have already been terminated.
Suggestions for improvement
- Nothing short of a complete regime change would help. This company hit it's zenith in 2012, since then the downward spiral has only picked up steam.
What I like about the company
While working at LTI, I had some excellent coworkers, talented and experienced people who taught me a lot about material science and testing. Sadly, most of these people are no longer there, having been terminated in the interest of greed and cost cutting.
What I dislike about the company
before even considering employment at LTI, one needs to understand that the only qualification for management at LTI is to be a member of the owners' family. Experience, talent, and even competence are totally irrelevant. If you don't have the correct surname, you will be shown the door after a few years when it's decided you make too much money. This is exactly what has happened to the employees that helped build this company over the last 30 years, the attrition rate over the past three years has been astounding to say the least.
