Suggestions for improvement
- Direct supervisors should handle RN evaluation, HR and VP's should not be evaluating RN on floor performance directly. RN stations should be larger with enough seating for RN's to chart. RN station should be separated from patient milieu by safety glass and locked doors. More RN's should pass meds in the Intensive Treatment Unit. Meds should be in med cart with individual compartments for each patient that is printed out and put in cart to facilitate timely passage of meds, allowing for individual charting of patient med pass. Glass between patient and Staff would eliminate need for separate med room which is crucial when there is a code. Mental health workers should help in rounding up patients for med pass so no meds would be passed in mileu environment.
I like about the employer
That all employees on-site are all trained on code procedures and good training on codes given and practiced on floors.
