The company was mostly interested in money and the employees were never given a thank you for working extra or going the extra mile.
Support from management
The supervisors would exhibit favoritism and only seemed to be concerned with themselves.
The other employees were so depressed they just wanted to go home.
Freedom to work independently
Workload was not fairly distributed. The favorite employees would get less work and granted more vacation days.
We were only given negative feedback and never aware of a positive outcome.
Men had the advantage at LMC. There were a lot of sexual references.
The individuals that work their way up seemed to be a family friend of the people doing the promoting.
Overall compensation for your work
The pay was fair. However, raises were never given. Only to upper management.
Office / Work Environment
The employees would keep the dept clean.
The supervisors would not support personal emergencies. For example, I asked for a few days off to fly from Wi to Az to see my Mother before she passed away and I was denied.
Vacations were not granted often since hiring sufficient staff was denied. Always.
No. The medical center wanted to appear to be a caring environment to patients but would repeat unnecessary tests and appointments. Drs would be advised to increase the number of visits. There were also a large number of Drs that were hired at LMC that were previously fired at other facilities. Employees were very unhappy but there wasn't another hospital locally to work at.
No job stability. Job titles were often eliminated when financial quotas were low and job titles were combined without financial compensation.
there were elevators for patients but I did not see any disabled employees in the years I was employed there.
Gloves were not enforced and face shields were not easily accessible.
Inclusive / Diverse
Very racial setting. Only one race was employed at LMC.
Suggestions for improvement
- Treat employees like human beings. Hire more staff to lessen the work load so fewer mistakes are made and much needed personal time with family can be spent. Reward employees for extra time working and show sympathy for employees who lost family members.
What I like about the company
retirement plan fairly decent.
What I dislike about the company
How they do not care about people only money. Management doesn't stand by employees and lies quite frequently. The individual departments would be assigned to fix problems that management should have been handling. Staff was fearful of management. Staff would get into trouble if we used our cell phone too often while on breaks in the break rooms and if we were literally 1 min late we would have been forced to pay a certain amount to the sunshine fund. Management would also throw temper tantrums and slam fists on counters and always have your job threatened. 2 employees in my dept were diagnosed with cancer and were terminated immediately.
