Supervisor is always very staunch, never complimentary. Fairness and trust are almost non existent.
Support from management
Unrealistic/unattainable goals are set, so bonuses NEVER happen. Not enough payroll hours given to the stores to be able to get done the minimum that upper management requires.
Within my store the team works well.
Freedom to work independently
Workload is very heavy on the managers. Manager can not make management decisions on their own, Manager are more like senior clears in the eyes of upper management.
Communication could be better, instructions are not always clear and concise, and if you assume, you are always wrong.

Overall compensation for your work
Responsibilities outweigh the salary, due to consistently having to work more than the 52 hours required. They have recently begun offering health, dental and life insurance, after many years of promising it, retirement plan was discontinued.
Office / Work Environment
Cash register system is outdated, wherefore different systems don't communicate well amongst themselves.
There is NO Work/Life balance, all the company cares about that you work. Managers are required to put in 52 hours per week, and put in extra to cover staff sickness etc. MANAGERS ARE SALARIED! You have no rights per state law. Vacations can not be taken when you choose, if it conflicts with the supervisor's schedule, which it always seems to do.

Suggestions for improvement
- Set realistic goals, set realistic payroll hours for the stores, be positive toward employees not negative ALL THE TIME.
