Suggestions for improvement
- Get feedback about the staff.
District Manager for my particular district had extreme special treatment towards 2 of 13 store managers. She also loved to bully managers based on look and dress. Managing thru fear was an art form for this district. I advise you to stay clear of this San Diego District as the DM whose initials are CB . Run don't walk as this is coming from a leader who had excellent store standings.
5/5 stars since Lane Bryant centers it's culture around body positivity and making each client feel comfortable in their own skin.
Support from upper management is bittersweet. On the one hand, there are a few managers that I connect and communicate very well with and I love working with them; but on the other hand the store manager lets her personal relationship with one particular manager cloud her judgement and that takes a negative toll on the rest of us employees. She'll consistently seem supportive of me and my work endeavors and compliment me for doing a great job but she is quick to upset sometimes which I believe is highly unprofessional. Also her favoritism of the one particular manager I mentioned enables this individual to take the liberty to do things that she has not received authorization to do.
