Latitude denied my unemployment claim and I had to pay over $1900 back. The contract was canceled after six weeks of me working there. Due to Christmas vacation I would not work until after the new year and only for one day while they provide my exit brief and provide my last day exit paperwork.
I asked both the manager of the contract company Exelis and my manager at Latitude Inc if I could be released before Christmas so I wouldn't have to pay for an apartment for the two weeks that we would be not working.
I lived in San Diego and the contract was up at Vandenberg AFB. I was paying for an apartment until I moved up there. Since I wasn't going to be paid for the two weeks during the holiday I asked for them to release me early.
I didn't quit, I asked to be released early so I could be with my family during the holidays and not pay for an apartment when I wasn't being paid and my job would end the day I returned after the holidays.
