Company Culture

This company has micro-managing senior management style. Decisions, even small ones, must be made by the owner himself.

Support from management

There is no support from management regarding any issues that may arise. The company culture is governed by an iron fist.

Teamwork

They provide a great facade of promoting an environment of teamwork but it in reality it is negative talk and backstabbing that takes place behind closed doors.

Freedom to work independently

There is no autonomy.

Internal Communication

Communication flows through upper management and the truth is manipulated to fit their needs.

Gender Equality

No. Especially if you are an international female on a work visa.

Overall compensation for your work

They pay well for certain positions but the treatment you recieve is not worth pay.

Office / Work Environment

Long hours and short breaks. Even salaried employees are required to clock in and out. I have witnessed poor and inappropriate treatment of fellow coworkers by senior management.

Work-Life Balance

5 days of PTO granted per year. I was promised 1/2 day of PTO for every full weekend day that I worked. The employer has denied that. Make sure you get any offers and promises in writing before accepting any offers.

Company Image

The reputation in the industry is a good product provider. Certain members of the executive management team have issues with alcohol abuse and force others to participate.

Workplace Safety

I received no training on OSHA compliance. My training was focused on sales and administration.

Challenging Work

In my position it was constant lifting and moving of inventory. Packing and unpacking of products. You must be willing to work long hours, share accommodations sometimes up to three weeks at a time with other employees.

Inclusive / Diverse

Multi-cultural staff with many international employees. Female employees on work visas are not respected as equals and often endure ridicule and poor treatment from senior management.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Provide a less hostile work environment. Stop ruling with an iron fist. Abide by the promises you make to employees. Put ego aside and learn compassion for employees who seek to better themselves.

What I like about the company

There are some good people that work for the company.

What I dislike about the company

Upon leaving and providing a two-week notice I was denied payment of the balance of my vacation time even though it is outlined in the employee handbook that it would be paid. The cost travel expenses that were booked for me to take place three months in advance were deducted out of my paycheck. I left on good terms and provided a professional two-week notice of resignation to accept a higher-level position with a new company.

Support from management

owner enjoys bringing fear instead of inspiration

Teamwork

Even though you are in a dept, it is hard to work together when your coworkers take your ideas for credit

Freedom to work independently

No one there has a say in structure other than the owner, and the workload that is given to you is based on people who have no background in fine art whatsoever

Work-Life Balance

You work 50hours a week with a 30min break and you cannot take it at your will, the whole company has a specific time to take breaks. If you want to get overworked and receive an awful pay for what this company is asking for then go for it.

Challenging Work

If you are a creative indiviual, you wont get a say unless upper management likes it or not. There is no actual critique, just depends if upper management thinks red is the new blue.
