Company Culture

It is an elitist company. If you do not conform completely to their ideas, you are shunned. You are not heard, or acknowledged as support staff. They seem to only care about the money-making staff (LO's).

Support from management

Absolutely no support. I was told that "you may feel like you're being spanked and you just have to turn, smile and say 'thank you'." That is NOT ok, or professional.

Teamwork

LO's get to shove whatever tasks they see fit off to support staff without acknowledging their boundaries and job duties. You are expected to say "how high" when they say "jump". I'm all for helping, within reason.

Freedom to work independently

Apparently not. I felt micromanaged and almost spied on.

Internal Communication

I was there for only 3 months and there was NO communication. There was "regular communication" but I was not heard or taken seriously ever.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I did not notice anyone over 45years old, and that was only in the money-making roles (LO's) - everyone else was a lot younger. Management included.

Career Development

I wasn't even supported to master my own position let alone presented with future opportunities.

Office / Work Environment

Only redeeming quality - I worked remotely from home.

Work-Life Balance

Only because I set boundaries. You are pressured to offer your personal time for additional work or you are viewed as a non-team player.

Company Image

Seemed very snobby and inclusive. I did not like their patronizing and condescending attitudes, and it was everywhere.

Job Security

thought I did since I'd worked for the same LO for almost 6 years, but that quickly changed 3 months into this company.

Workplace Safety

I worked from home.

Challenging Work

I liked my position, and my duties though I was not allowed to immerse myself in my role. I was continuously pulled off task and not taken seriously.

Inclusive / Diverse

No ideas were heard.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Make sure your people (ALL employees) are heard, and are treated fairly. Listen to concerns and adjust. If there is a person that doesn't fit on one team, perhaps give them a chance with another team before reprimanding them for no reason, just to find an excuse to fire them. 3 months is not long enough for an employee to be deemed unfit unless they are seriously doing damage in regards to their position, co-workers, or the company. Don't just take the LO's "word for it" or let someone go because they decide they don't want them on their team anymore. Don't be unjust. And DON'T EVER tell a new employee that if they feel like their getting "spanked", they just need to smile and say "thank you". Completely unprofessional and not a good way to set the working environment.

What I like about the company

I wasn't there long enough to like anything besides the fact I worked from home.

What I dislike about the company

They have a "culture" which is extremely elitist and either you "fit in" or you don't. I could've flourished in my position but they do not back up or support support-staff, they only listen to and support the money-makers of the company. It is very one-sided. I was not impressed with their business model.
