Suggestions for improvement
- I would like to see better communication on all levels. And I would like to see our Administration, or our district get feedback from teachers and actually use that to create professional development and training for subsequent school years
What I like about the company
I work with an amazing group of professionals who are passionate about teaching. I have learned a great deal from some of the amazing teachers that I have worked with. I see attempts to improve the company culture and morale by Administration and I find that very encouraging. We also have a parental culture of involvement that really helps support the school and the staff.
What I dislike about the company
I wish that my administrators would be better about communicating on all levels with staff. Communication is often very compartmentalised and so different people at the school may not have any idea about what's going on, and that leaves you feeling very unstable. It's also rather embarrassing when a parent asked you about something and you can't answer the question because you weren't on that email because you aren't a teacher, or a teacher at a specific grade level. The administration tries very hard to dissuade and boys from gossiping and creating rumors, however, when you don't fully inform your employees about what's going on all that's left is rumors and speculation. It would be better to just be open and honest about what's really going on.
