No. Supervisors or upper management do not even acknowledge the employee. Just move on to the next job. Never a " job well done"
Support from management
Decisions are discouraged. The target is get it done and when will you be done and how long will it take you. There are certain ways you do things and that is how you are suppose to do it.
Never had a team feeling. I do believe they were honest with me.
Freedom to work independently
I knew my responsibility. I had no problem with the work load. I did have the comment made to me several times that they could not believe I did not get any help.
Worked there over 6 months and none of this was ever discussed...
Treated pretty much the same. terrible. Told to keep yourself separate from them.
Attitude towards older colleagues
They tend to put so much pressure on the employee that it is hard for young people to handle.
Never any opportunities offered or posted within the company. The top performers were usually used and abused till they found another opportunity at another company...
Overall compensation for your work
Salary was a little low. But the expectations of overtime made up the difference. 30 to 40 hours of overtime per week! Wonder why they could not keep help! Good insurance benefits.
Office / Work Environment
The place is good. Management treats you like you do not matter to the company. The treatment of the temp help is terrible. Attitude is just call and get another one!
The company did not ever communicate on this
In Kansas City you had to choose between your job and your family. I personally was asked this... I gave 3 months notice for time off. And when it came time I was told this.Working the mandatory overtime with no exceptions!
Happy to have a job but as time went on most decided it was not worth the sacrifice. The turnover of the Temps was atrocious.
The entire time I worked there I never felt as if my job was safe. I felt I was scrutinized the entire time I was there. Heard from a Manager 1 time that everyone thought I was doing a great job! Never from my manager.
The KC plant never hired anyone with disabilities while I was there.
Very high on safety...
Felt very challenged. Had a great feeling of accomplishment. Management never acknowledged this only "how much longer" "what's next" "what took so long?"
Suggestions for improvement
- Train managers on how to treat people. They treat all people the same. Terrible!
What I like about the company
Gave me a job when my previous employer closed. Very thankful
What I dislike about the company
Treated employees bad. Worse company I had ever worked for. Mandatory overtime. Some is good. 30 to 40 hours per week is too much. You had no option!!!
