Freedom to work independently

Micro managed every day and unnecessary coaching and having people sit next to you to tell you how to do your job even when you are a tenured employee

Overall compensation for your work

It's a $2 for promotions.. If you get it. The pay is ok but not worth the stress you go for the pay.

Office / Work Environment

Poor office environment... Everyone talks over each other because we sit too close to eacother and have to turn our volumes on the highest to be able to talk to the policy holders

Environmental Friendliness

This could have been a friendly environment but it is not because every one easily turn against each other due to unhealthy competition amongst ourselves so there is always jealousy,

Work-Life Balance

Terrible work life balance as we often have to work 6 days a week.

Company Image

So many. Customers stop me and voice their negative opinions of the company.. Since then I no longer wear the company t-shirt.

Job Security

You are constantly in fear of losing your job especially if your metrics are not up to par. They will write you up with a warning after 3 months of not meeting metrics

Workplace Safety

Someone was robbed at gun point and people are constantly afraid to work in the evenings since then.

Challenging Work

Challenging because the metrics are unrealistic. And they constantly change almost every month, especially when they notice majority of the people are meeting or exceeding metrics... Then they raise the bar to make it impossible

Suggestions for improvement

  • The company needs to allow anyone who is licensed and wants to work at home regardless of positjon.. Except billing.

What I like about the company

The benefits are descent and also the shine points that gives the ability to purchase something of your choce

What I dislike about the company

The work environment is not healthy on the ears to turn volume to loudest just to hear. Also alot of Favortism. The fact that every one steals your ideas and make it theirs.. Even your managers... You constantly have to keep your guards up and not trust anyone.

Company Culture

The company itself is great.

Support from management

Poor support from management, the managers use bait and switch tactics to get you in the door, then inadequately train you and then but you on the floor and if you don't catch on quickly they talk about you behind your back to your peers belittle and degrade you until you quit, so you can't collect unemployment benefits.

Teamwork

Employees and peers always worked hard together to reach goals and metrics.

Freedom to work independently

No your always working with your team or supervisor.

Internal Communication

I worked in the Gold customer service department, and things would change with systems and processes and you wouldn't hear about it until the day it changes.

Career Development

Supervisors are required to help you create a development plan and then execute the plan. Unfortunately, the current supervisors will only help you feel out your objectives and ask what would you like to do in the company. Then after that NOTHING happens no career developments are being executed here, they only help fill it out so when the manager sees it then they think the supervisors are developing you, but their NOT.

Work-Life Balance

No excused absences EVER!! you get NO sick leave time. My son was hospitalized for rsv he was there for 4 days, I had a doctors note signed by the pediatrician and I was still written up and this write up stays with you for 2 years.

I was when i started, but after the first year this all changed.

Extremely challenging work you will take at least 40 to 60 calls daily.

Very diverse.

Suggestions for improvement

  • Get a new site manager who isn't bitter and new supervisors who are miserable in their job. This will turn the entire site around morally and ethically, also allow more time for new hires to be trained.

The extreme micro management, the dishonest, ignorant supervisors and the lack of promoting african Americans into a supervisory role when they are clearly qualified.

  • the senior management needs to step up and provide a clear growth strategy and bring the whole company together to believe in it. increase the pay. I know many folks are not entire happy with the pay. keep up the effort to maintain the key employee on each team and departments.

What I like about the company

I really like my colleagues and the team work. We have accomplished a lot of high-impact projects in 2017. So far in 2018, we also worked well. I like the mid-management's communication. I understand they are in a tough spot, facing the pressure from the higher management and also need to take care the team's well being. They so far done a great job of motivate the team and did they best to manage a work-life balance. I like the company's culture in support the community charity work by their employees. It has program to both have paid time off to do volunteer work and also the match to the charity donation.

What I dislike about the company

The work life balance is way off. The top management is constantly preaching the competition pressure, however I think the key to address this issue is a clear growing strategy from the top management. Instead I personally felt right now it is a beat on the deal bush, push the pressure to the mid-management to continue to beat on the current path. The result is we are doing the same old thing without a clear vision how our work is contribute to the success of the company and at the same time we totally lost the balance of work and life. This is not productive and sometimes felt demoralized.
