Career Development

This company does not give many avenues for career advancement or development. Training is extremely rare, promotions are even more so. Good luck trying to move up in a company that only advances people who never call out sick and are willing to work a difficult job for next to no pay.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I would like to see this company raise the minimum wage for clinicians from $12/hr to no less than $16/hr. This is a job which requires intensive training, strong skills in several different areas, and a phenomenal amount of patience. The clinicians deserve more than they currently earn. I would also suggest more training throughout the year; the opportunity for clinicians to openly interview for positions within their center (i.e. Office Assistant), rather than the center director simply choosing someone; and fair employment status. If a clinician works year-round instead of just for the summer season, they're employee status should read part- or full-time rather than seasonal. This way, they will have access to benefits (such as paid holidays) that they would not have access to otherwise.
