Suggestions for improvement

  • Being given the option to make up to 40 hours every two weeks regardless of how many hours worked a week i.e. first week a person might only be able to work 15 hours, but the next week they should be able to make up the 5 hours i.e. 25 hours the second week for a total of 40 hours total.

What I like about the company

I worked remotely, therefore I was able to make my own schedule across seven days.

What I dislike about the company

There is a 20 hour time cap unless they approve of more hours, that's why I say time management is key. The work is redundant and tedious, but that's just the nature of the work.

Company Culture

The culture of the company is positive. There is a lot of encouragement and suggestions on how to improve performance. Also, there are a lot of resources and helpful guidelines to references.

Support from management

There is great support from management through webinars and email communication.

Teamwork

This job doesn't require "teamwork" per se, but there are people we can contact if needed.

Freedom to work independently

Basically, that is the requirement for this job is to be able to work independently. There is no micromanaging what-so-ever.

Internal Communication

Several times a month there are webinars to review issues and problems with certain jobs. Also, if there is a problem, sending emails are encouraged and usually those emails are answered in a somewhat timely manner.

Often, the job requires a lot more time then what is allotted.

Great for work-Life Balance. You make your own schedule.

There really is no type of job security, however, there is a lot of support from management.

  • More pay per jobs with longer required research investigation.

I like the communication and direction given by managers on how to do the job better.

What I dislike about the company

Some jobs are harder than other jobs but the time frame given to complete some of the jobs are not reasonable, especially according to the new guidelines.

Suggestions for improvement

  • I was sent an email informing me I wasn't doing the task I was assigned correctly. I did my best to do it right and was still let go. A better situation would of been to help me understand what I was doing wrong and maybe even allow me to review the training. Lionbridge needs to have better email communication with their telecommuting employees.

What I like about the company

The onboarding was simple and I liked that I could have flexibility in my schedule.

What I dislike about the company

The emails they sent to freelance employees were very confusing. And trying to get someone to respond to you about what they meant took forever. I think some consideration needed to be taken in for people from different countries freelancing at home.
