Company culture did not reward honest, hard working employees. Manager tolerated abusive/controlling behavior and some practiced it themselves. Employees who voiced concerns were reprimanded and forced to leave for not being listened to. There was a sense of fear and very little psychological safety. The focus was on appeasing to the leaders/officers, but very little attention was given to creating a supportive environment for employees.
Support from Management
Managers were not supportive. Unrealistic expectations. Inadequate resources. Top-down "manager is always right" approach. Employees were not supported in voicing their concerns and asking for help/resources.
