- Get better leads and start advertising.
What I like about the company
Lloyd Agencies was a very fun and vibrant place to work. It was very encouraging and uplifting.
What I dislike about the company
I didn't like that Lloyd Agencies was deceitful. They didn't give me my $500 referral bonus as promised. The management expected us to sale insurance to people even if they didn't want it and we had to be very pushy. The hours were ridiculous. It was supposed to be flexible, but you have to be in the office 12-9 every monday and thursday, sometimes later. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, we worked usually 8am until as late as it took us to make a sale, which was usually 10 or 11pm. It is fun to meet new people, but you will never have a home life at this job. Last, but not least, was the pay. You are not paid on an hourly rate. You have to make a sale to get paid anything at all. (It isn't easy to make a sale because the company doesn't do any advertising so many people have never heard of them. Also, the leads they give you are NOT people who have said they are interested in insurance. They are people who said they would like the free stuff the company offers. So when you make an appointment, you are actually going to give them the free stuff and then trying to slip in a sale while you're there.) They do not take out taxes either, it is your responsibility. Also, if a person you sold insurance to cancels their policy within about 90 days, you have to pay the company back what they paid you for that policy.
