Because of the company's rapid growth, and lack of management on the floor, the employees who like to cause trouble, are catered to way to much. This has had a negative effect on moral.
Support from management
The company has grown into a global powerhouse over the last two decades. As a result, management is spending less time on the floor and more time staring at spreadsheets. Lack of supervision, especially on the dayshift where you have more management in the building,which is ironic.
Too many people are a little bit too in to it for themselves.
Freedom to work independently
The assembly department is horribly inefficient. Management has been made aware of the problem, repeatedly, yet does nothing,
Lies, exaggerations, and bullying.
Everyone has an opportunity to move up if they're willing to put the work in.
Attitude towards older colleagues
You can retire with dignity at MAC.
Training is not sufficient. Too many leaders do not train, and too many leaders got their jobs because they hang out with their boss, or they cause the most trouble
Overall compensation for your work
1985 was a long time ago.
Office / Work Environment
Shops are clean, safe , and machinery is up to date.
Mac Valves has become huge due to fair trade. Thumbs up.
Assembly department is threatened with their jobs if they don't work a full day on Saturday. Even if there is no work. Every year around the holidays, people never know how much time off they'll really get.
This use to be a great place to work. More people dread coming to work than look forward to it.
Once you're hired, you're in. Easy to accomplish in most departments. Except for assembly. There are employees in the assembly department who have been considered temporary with no benefits for as long as two years. Hopefully their kids don't get sick.
Great Safety procedures, and enforcement.
Would be even better if management would wake up and start paying people wages that are more in line with today's economic demands.

Job security. Family run company. It keeps on growing
What I dislike about the company
Due to lack of management on the floor, people who like to "abuse the system" have flourished, and are listened to by management more than those who actually do their jobs with honesty and integrity. The company is too slow to spend money to update their equipment. Due to a two tiered workforce over the last twelve years, there's a serious lack of personnel who are available to do the harder jobs. It's difficult finding new hires because they pay less than McDonald's does starting out.
