Support from management
Some very good leads, but there was not nearly enough support for the number of employees
Little to no advancement opportunities
Overall compensation for your work
Near minimum wage. Overtime must be worked to make enough to survive. Not a place for a family oriented person to work, they only care about how fast you can crank out parts, and how soon you can get back the next day to repeat the same monotonous job, that you don't really know how to do in the first place.
Office / Work Environment
Long, long, hours. I was hired on for 40 a week, and was immediately forced into 65-70 hours a week, including mandatory Saturdays. Time off requests were very frowned upon.
Long time employees often quit after being verbally attacked by management. Some were just up and fired out of the blue. Many just stop going because they were better off not having a job.
Everything had to be figured out by the employees. We were expected to be able to figure out how to run cnc machines with little to no training.
Suggestions for improvement
- More shop leads, more training. Be respectful to people's time, not treat people like they are in prison at work, not force all employees to buy their overpriced junk tools sms tool box, not run the shop with scare tactics and threats.
What I like about the company
It was close to home.
What I dislike about the company
They wouldn't spend any time in training!!!! Luckily I had some machining background, so I survived a few months!
