Employees like

I work with 4 other employees in my department. We have a great relationship and together we provide excellent patient care to all our patients. We communicate with each other and find coverage when one person needs time off. I enjoy great benefits afforded to me by my company such as PTO, 401 K, bereavement leave, employee discounts and employee events.
My company has worked extremely hard during the covid 19 pandemic. Together we have provided healthcare to the people who have fallen sick within our Maine’s community. Together we have worked hard to help our community feel safe
Departments love to organize and share with the communities from small to large events. Everyone gives back over and over. Working for such a great organization has been beneficial over many years.
Loyal coworkers and great department who support one another. Enjoy the intellectually stimulating job with opportunities for advancement.

Employees don't like

When certain things are no longer available such as discounts for paying med Bills early..they just disappear and employees are not notified. It's just a sneaky snake thing to do. However when new things are being brought out theres plenty of communication.
My company is patient centered, but I feel they could put the same effort towards their employees. Sometimes I feel like I am a number and not that important.
Higher pay again, this is a physically and emotionally demanding job
Incentive programs, cost of living and merit raises (not combined)
I disapprove of how management does their job. Management appears to be oblivious to what is going on in all departments. They have no idea how our job is done and often are not seen for days to weeks. They don't help with finding solutions to problems and leave us to figure things out. I feel like they don't care about our department.

Suggestions for improvement

Hire new management. If not, then retrain the managers that work there to be more in tune with their employees. They need to learn how to listen to their employees and know what they do every day. They need to learn compassion.
Maybe on sight daycare with flexible hours to match the flexible schedules of staff
I'm not sure. I'm very happy with everything so far.
Better individual involvement and more transparency
Meal discounts for the lower wage staff or free snacks would be great as mentioned before.
