Raises were on a hold for several years, not much in perks.
Support from management
Excellent teamwork for the common goal- our patients
Freedom to work independently
Work is divided equally but all duties are shared.
communication was excellent from the ED,DON and all the way down to CNA
Attitude towards older colleagues
Very much so
Many nurses still in school, the company will work around your school schedule if possible.
Overall compensation for your work
The pay was one of the best for the industry, benefits were offered but nothing paid by employer
Office / Work Environment
Good, new computer system, the building is old but exceptionally kept clean.
Repost given daily to ED and DON for coordination of care.
In nursing we work 24/7. Balance was given as well as could be.
Great job security if you do a good job. Patient care is the best possible at Mapleton.
Yes, we also had in house P/T, O/T
Yes, Bi-Weekly training
A good nurse is valued here and very much appreciated.
Inclusive / Diverse
yes diversity is valued here, critical thinking and open minded to new ideas.
Suggestions for improvement
- Although the pay was good, employees react to monetary rewards and better recognition of jobs well done in the way of bonuses and pay raises.
What I like about the company
The ED/Owner is very involved with the care of each and every patient. He calls for report and speaks to the charge nurse at the end of each 12 hour shift twice a day without fail for report.
What I dislike about the company
Not enough benefits were offered and no raises.
