Suggestions for improvement
- Put the present although long term employees through discrimination procedures, bring in a legal team to educate them on the do's and dont's in the workplace. Drug and alcohol awareness. It was a job I so hoped for, but once I got the position the anxiety and lack of professionalism within the company was so very disappointing and disgusting to think that these people could actually get away with the things that were taking place in there. I'm a professional single woman, not gay or black and a mother and grandmother. But because I lived in a town where the gay population was high I was discriminated against and thought to be gay. Which was a terrible experience. And again I was not gay. It was the worse company I ever worked for.
What I dislike about the company
It was a uncomfortable place to work. they expected you to be fast on the job but never provided any training as they said they would. It was a challenge everyday as the managers shipping and receiving guy was supervising the workers and hated it due to the fact he couldn't do his own job and as he said he was tired if babysitting the workers. While I was training I was exposed to workers who hated blacks and gay people and verbally expressed sexual inappropriate things.
