Support from management
Not one manager knows what it takes to get finished goods out the door. The solution for everything is a write up or firing. Suggestions are ignored and the common saying is "it's never like this" or "we've always done it this way at milgard". Retention rates are horrible due to constant 12 hour days up to six times a week.
You will live at milgard. With bad equipment and raw materials it's impossible to reach goals. Not enough training and no training manuals will make your head spin. Easy job made difficult by higher ups.
You will always have your job threatened. It's a daily thing that supervisors remind people they have 6 weeks to adapt to the poor working conditions (management)
They try really hard. You'll hurt your back, shoulders, wrists or get cut by vinyl, metal or broken glass. Management will then tell everyone your dead weight and taking away from bonuses.
Suggestions for improvement
- Train management, have them work a line and see why the suggestions they make are terrible.
