Suggestions for improvement

  • Better compensation and a few perks would be nice.

What I like about the company

The company was decent early on but once it was bought out by a Japanese insurance company and new leadership was brought in, it got a lot worse.

What I dislike about the company

Pay people better and provide some perks.

Company Culture

The company motto is - A Good Company but they don't live up to that when it comes to their employees

Support from management

Management will not support you, will not train you properly and will not have your back when you need it.

Teamwork

Co-workers are great!

Freedom to work independently

If freedom to work independently means that you don't have any one to go to for help or information then yes, you get that here.

Internal Communication

Their weakest area is communicating things to employees. Upcoming changes, new processes, etc.

Gender Equality

If you're female, don't expect to get treated like the guys, you can get to a certain level and then you won't go any further.

Overall compensation for your work

Pay is comparable but raises don't amount to much.

Office / Work Environment

Computer systems suck and they won't get any better.

Work-Life Balance

Overtime is not a rare issue, it's nearly everyday and if you're in claims, you're exempt so they expect you to work overtime all the time.

Job Security

They can and will let you go for no reason. If they find an issue, don't think they'll assist with "retraining" or coaching for correction. Correcting errors here means finding a new job.

What I like about the company

I feel welcome every day I go to work.

What I dislike about the company

I feel upper and middle managment communication on changes to the company and staffing can be better. I sometimes feel we can be the last to know about things in claims.
