Support from management
Managers use work at home options like candy dangling over a child's head instead of treating employees with respect. They also don't information share, do coaching or team building.
Most everyone tries too
Freedom to work independently
a few managers like to micro manage, but for the most part you can just do your job
departments work in silos. there is no communication
there is no department with a good mix that I have seen
Attitude towards older colleagues
I've seen ageism in full effect in some departments
Better in some departments, not all
It's decent. better in some departments than others
mergers, acquisitions and office moves roughly every 2 years. Every other November/December you don't know if its your department that's getting the ax.
Inclusive / Diverse
there are not a lot of people of color in management positions. There are very talented people that are overlooked for promotions and its very unfortunate. Qualified applicants with several degrees have been passed up for positions that less qualified non degree, whites have been given the position...when the job description clearly says degree needed or degree desired. This is deplorable.
