Support from management
First two years great supervision. Changes to policy and upper. Management changed patient focused care to sales focused business.
Teamwork good at times just had very high turnover rate so good team one day strangers the next day.
Freedom to work independently
The senior employee did majority of work but loved it and didn't mind working early or late as a salaried employee
Weekly meetings at least regarding sales and goals that needed to be met
As senior employee I can say equality was not practiced. No promoting from within as promised.
Attitude towards older colleagues
Oldest employee felt very uneasy about her treatment and her termination in which her age was mentioned.
Overall compensation for your work
Salary for managers and or nurses are well below the average as compared to other weight loss companies. Sales were paid on time. If you cared more about the patient than sales, salary was barely $2.00 over minimum wage. No benefits except vacation after a year.
Office / Work Environment
Nice offices and goid stick and equipment
No comment on fair trade or social empathy of corporate officers
Pretty good. Now that I work for a much larger corporation and get benefits I realize my work life balance was better but my pay and future are worth giving up a little of my family time.
Unfortunately, no. In the end, the three most senior employees were not happy, one is still employed there and maybe happier now.
I walked in every day my last year waiting to be fired. I saw great employees leave and be fired. Over a 4 year period, 6-7 walked out, at least 5 were fired and only one justified firing with proof of not following p and p. The last 3 months 4 of the 6-7 walked out or never came in to give notice. Very uneasy feeling
No provisions for disabled
Absolutely felt good about my success as a counselor and my patient request rate due to putting them first.
Inclusive / Diverse
If it involves sales and you are good at sales then any opinion increasing sales is supported
Suggestions for improvement
- Take care of the patient regardless of the money they spend and you will keep your customers. Pay employees for what they are worth and what job duties they are responsible for. Live what is preached as a Christian business and practice these beliefs and God will take care of the rest.
What I like about the company
Helping the customer change their life.
What I dislike about the company
Being asked to lie to push sales during my last few months there and no job stability
