Medica's culture is good and overall they are good to their employees.
Support from management
I am rating this more on my area, the support for management was awful, probably because there was an awful director.
There is a lot of teamwork, but there is also an undertone of passive aggressive behavior.
Freedom to work independently
I think in most areas you are, but because my Director was so unknowing of how things worked, autonomy was called babysitting.
There is a lot of ignorance in this area. The biggest windbags that do minimal work get promoted and those that work hardest get overlooked.
Company image is declining as they continue their reduction in force. They are angering vendors by not living up to contractors and they are keeping the windbags and cutting the good knowledgeable people.
Suggestions for improvement
- Take an honest look at your management, look at exit interviews for all areas.
What I like about the company
Overall they are a good employer.
What I dislike about the company
They are struggling right now, but in their struggle they are cutting the solid people and keeping the poor performers. Because of this, the remaining good employees are seeking new opportunities, leaving nothing but the under performers with very limited knowledge.
