Support from Management
Company is run by family and friends. Experience and knowledge is irrelevant when it comes to promoting from within. The only thing that matters is bloodline.
Level of Autonomy
Upper management refused to listen to employee feedback. Their participation in the day-to-day functioning of the company was non-existent.
Suggestions for improvement
- Give some emphasis, any emphasis at all, to employee morale and feedback. Give your employees a voice. Pay them in a manner commensurate with their experience and knowledge. Give your employees legitimate opportunities to advance that are centered around performance and results. Reward your employees who work hard and make a positive impact on your company. And replace your current leadership with leadership that knows how to properly do these things.
