What I like

Well paid, collaborative, able to express opinions and move up.

What I dislike

Honestly, nothing! This is a great place to work. Feel supported and like I am valued.

Suggestions for improvement

Again, not much that I can say to improve. Maybe better health benefits would be nice!

What I like

When having my daughter I was a forest time mother and the care and compassion the staff showed my family and I was so amazing. It gave me a trusting feeling towards the staff and it showed me that they truly do have your best interest at heart

What I dislike

On holidays we still have to work so on these days having food available or the coffee place open would mean so much to the staff. The cafeteria and coffee shop are always closed on holidays and it is upsetting that we are there running the facility but don’t get simple things to show people care

Suggestions for improvement

Having the upper physicians being held accountable for their rude behaviors towards the nursing staff .

Company Culture

Everyone has a compassion floor their work and it creates a positive work environment

Work-Life Balance

The hours I work are very long so being able to balance the two can become trying

Challenging Work

Dealing in healthcare Is very challenging physically and mentally

Internal Communication

When their are new changes happening there are always different forms of communication about the changes being given to the employees

This place has completely gone to crap since CHI took the reins. All they care about is MONEY.

What I dislike

Every single bit. There is nothing redeeming about this Place.

Suggestions for improvement

Get rid of CHI. Get rid of everyone in the C Suite.

As a new nurse working at CHI, I have not had the best experience, especially with the orientation process.

What I like

The people I work with are very pleasant, and the higher ups are very involved with day to day activities in the hospital

What I dislike

We are severely understaffed, making work conditions undesirable

Suggestions for improvement

More staffing and treating current staff better

What I like

My coworkers are the only positive testimony that I have. This place has really gone down hill since CHI took over. It's like they are just biding their time until they close us down. Complaints are never addressed. It's an unsafe environment for more than one reason. AND NO ONE CARES.

What I dislike

Filthy, falling apart, equipment needs upgrading, a lot of new hires are complete boneheads and lazy, poor pay, terrible benefits.

Suggestions for improvement

Get rid of everyone in the C Suite. Get a new Board. Sell out to another company.

What I like

Regular rounding with mangers and feed back is asked from all team members. Our opinions and suggestions are taken in account while taking decisions related to the team and department.

What I dislike

It is occasionally under staffed and that increases stress on existing employees

Suggestions for improvement

Better staffing and christmas/ holiday bonus

This place has gone downhill since CHI took the helm. Only the dollar matters. They have left us to die on the vine. Run

What I like

My immediate coworkers are like family. They are good people and work hard. They care about the community.

What I dislike

Management is bullied by Corporate. They in turn push their unreasonable expectations off onto the staff and make decisions for financial reasons which are not always prudent or in the best interest of the patient.

Suggestions for improvement

Get someone else to take over the reins. Seriously. Get rid of upper management who seemingly are biding their time until the inevitable happens (we close down). Nothing can change for the better until we are under the leadership of a different entity. CHI/BAYLOR/DIGNITY, or whatever our name is now, cares about money and "productivity" ONLY.

Company Culture

My direct team I would give 5 stars, but since there is so much crossover between departments, I must overall rate it a 3.

Company Image

No. We are a laughing stock in the community. Nurses are leaving in droves.

Work-Life Balance

Hard to get time off, so that keeps them from getting a higher rank.

Career Development

Absolutely non existent.

Handicapped Accessibility

Overall compensation for your work

Employees of a local chain gas station make more money than I do with decades of experience.

Inclusive / Diverse

They do a fairly good job of this.

Environmental Friendliness

Not that it is obvious.

Workplace Safety

They do overall well in this category.

Teamwork

In word yes.

Attitude towards older colleagues

I have see a couple of incidents where this was NOT the case.

Support from management

NO. Accountability is rock bottom. Nothing is ever done when management is approached with problems

Office / Work Environment

Absolutely NOT. Equipment goes down and is not fixed timely.Everything is outdated. In the summer we boil, in the winter we freeze. The hospital is filthy. Housekeepers who work are hard to find. Elevators break down frequently. power surges/outages are a regular occurrence.

Challenging Work

I am highly skilled but get only moderate support in doing my job and that makes for a pretty challenging task at times.

Internal Communication

Communication is unheard of!

Gender Equality

As far as I know, yes. I suspect men in equal positions are paid more.

Freedom to work independently

Yes, but mostly because upper management is NOT invested in what's going on.

Job Security

It’s my second home. It’s not perfect but it’s the right place for me to make a positive contribution to the community.

What I like

What I dislike

None that I can think of off hand.

Suggestions for improvement

A raise maybe. And more vacation days.

Company Culture

Family not coworkers

Challenging Work

Skilled position
