Suggestions for improvement
- Make it company policy to have a minimum of eight hours between shifts. Managers often close then open the store the following day and run around tired and stressed. Pay the employees more to attract better qaulity team members. Hire and pay more for people who are/were contractors (like plumbers, electricians, etc.). Allow departments to have more payroll so the departments within the stores are better staffed. I often notice that the compeditiors have more employees working than the nearest Menards in that same market.
I like about the employer
Lots of promotion oppertunities. Many different departments to work in. Profit sharing and management bonuses. Knowledge at the store level for many practical things for home improvement that help you at home. Overtime pay after 40 hours (managers paid by hour, not salary)
