Suggestions for improvement

  • Pay your best staff so they dont leave. Go back to the way the benefits were before... you know when they benefitted people.

I like about the employer

Mercer is my first office job. I started as a health and benefits call center representative and moved over to the quality department. I think that there is great inclusion with the business resource groups. The on-site cafe is great lots of great choices. There is a great amount of extra classes you can take. The lower management is great.

Company culture

They stress the need for us to go above and beyond, and provide "excellent customer experience", but when you do go above and beyond, it's never recognized or rewarded. For this reason I have stopped offering to do anything out off my job description. I'm not helping with training or coaching of any of that. You want me to do extra? Pay better! Promote me!!!

Not very much communication or support from management.

Company culture

The company does little to nothing for the employees outside of pay them. The company is huge but if my team got together for say a holiday party, it had to be planned by us. The culture was created by the staff not company.

Support from Management

You're team leader decides everything so if they are lazy or don't like you, you will stay exactly where you are. If you want to move up in the company the recommendation comes from them alone.
