Suggestions for improvement
- Stop using call personnel to staff and return to using them for emergent situations only. Resume some of the "perks" for longer term employees. You do not benefit from seniority.
What I like about the company
Mercy has a "Code of Conduct". It applies to all. Every employee is important. If an employee doesn't comply with the "Code of Conduct", he/she will be reprimanded. This includes the surgeon.
In the OR, you will work one major and one minor holiday per year. That is tolerable. You will also work one Saturday about every 6 weeks. Very tolerable.
