Military style pecking order. They promote off of who is most like them not by seniority or who can bring positive change.
Support from management
They will tell you to do it one way and then change their mind and expect you to know how they want it on anything and everything.
The want a specific type of person and if you aren't that person you won't be happy there.
They will and have removed senior workers from their supervisor positions and place people in their place to promote their agenda.
