Suggestions for improvement
- Offer retirees some of the same benefits offered to employees, such as corporate discounts, subsidized dental care and occasional cost of living raises.
I like about the employer
They treated me well and gave me many opportunities to try new things. I always felt like I had the support of my managers and colleagues.
I was laid off 2 weeks after my 66th birthday. Would be easy to cry age discrimination, but this was not the case. They were cutting and my performance was falling off as I lost interest in working. The severance package was more than fair and I have no complaints about my many years with MetLife.
The retirement plan is a good one.
