We did not have job descriptions and there was no room for advancement. Work assignments were given on a piece-meal basis; once you finished one task, you had to wait for another assignment to be given. Immediate management had no management skills or authority. They had to get approval from upper management regarding any decisions and changes they wanted to make with their staff. There was no communication regarding the open positions within the organization.
